What is Hunting Tips by Larry

This is recent update from Mouse Hunt.

As you have no doubt noticed, a new section has been added to the Camp page called Hunting Tips from Larry. You may remember Larry from the beginning tutorial of the game or perhaps seen him on a few of the help pages. These tips are designed to provide hunters with the "need-to-know" information for each area in the game. Previously, there was no straight-forward way to know essential information, such as the bait to use in special areas, which led to many confused and angry emails and forum posts. We hope Larry will help hunters avoid frustrations like wasting SUPER|brie+ in the Mousoleum.

Best Location To Collect Plenty of Gold

There are some location that have some expensive mice. Mice here come with a large reward for their capture!
As Smart Hunter You must knowing this location, so hunter can Setup their best trap and preparation to spend more time to hunting in this location for a gold (like prepare the bait).

These location is

Mousoleum in the Burroughs region (requiring a minimum rank of Master and the Tattered Mousoleum Map to enter).

Acolyte Realm in the Bristle Woods region (requiring a minimum rank of Legendary and the Keeper's Candle to enter).

Dojo in the Furoma region (requiring a minimum rank of Grandmaster and the Furoma Map Stitch to enter ).

Catacombs is a location in the Bristle Woods region (requiring a minimum rank of Legendary and the Mousoleum Restoration Patch to enter).

Hunting Tips In Acolyte Realm

The Acolyte Realm is a location in the Bristle Woods region requiring a minimum rank of Legendary and the Keeper's Candle to enter.

Hunters cannot travel to the Acolyte Realm in the standard manner. The only way to enter the Realm is through the Forbidden Grove. Hunters trapped in the Forbidden Grove when its gates close will automatically be sent to the Acolyte Realm. They can then stay and hunt, or travel (using the map) to any other location in the Kingdom. However, if they choose to leave, they will not be able to return until the gate to the Forbidden Grove once again opens.

I have some Hunting tips for this location:

Acolyte Realm is different from any location. hunter cant travel anytime to this location, because the gates only open or close for 3 hours. So make sure if you arrive to this location your cheese stock is enough to hunt at least for 3 hour.

Cheese that have highly attract for mice in this location is Ancient cheese or Runic. So before entering this location better if you purchased some Ionized Salt from Bazzar to craft this cheese. so you will not out of ancient cheese.

But if your ancient cheese is empty, you can change the bait with cheddar cheese...????. Yes its not joke. If you can't bait your trap with ancient, its time to collect Stale cheese, because both of Ancient or Runic need Stale cheese to be Crafted. So hunters should bring plenty of Cheddar or White Cheddar

Smartest way to collect this stale cheese is using Cheddar or White Cheddar (cheapest Cheese and lowest attraction ) with Trap that have high stale cheese effect. example you can baited your cheddar with Obelisk of Incineration and the Explosive Base so they have a Stale Cheese generator.
Or you have another trap that provide more stale cheese effect.

But you must remember with trap that have high attraction. These trap can attract more mice, therefore reducing the opportunities for stale cheese drops. In some areas, there is a reason to use these alternate bases because of the possibility of catching rare mice or collecting rare loot or potions.

Arcane Capturing Rod Of Never Yielding Mystery is recommended to catch most of the mice in the Acolyte Realm. If the hunter is trying to specifically catch the Acolyte mouse, the hunter should use the luckiest trap setup available, but must also be prepared for a lot of misses on the Forgotten mice.

How To Craft Ancient Cheese

Ancient cheese is primarily used for hunting in the Forbidden Grove but also in the Catacombs and Acolyte Realm. It can be obtained by imbuing Brie or SUPER|brie+ with Ancient Cheese Curd Potion or through crafting.




This cheese also important to cacth this mouse: Gargoyle, Gate Guardian, Ghost, Golem, Gorgon, Keeper, Keeper's Assistant, Lycan, Mummy, Ooze, Ravenous Zombie, Reaper, Scavenger, Skeleton, Spectre, Spider, and Vampire mice.
If you want to get this cheese by crafting these is what must you provide :

1. Formula to Craft 3 Ancient

   Formula: Ancient (3 pieces)

   Ionized Salt	6	450

2. Formula To Craft 6 Ancient Cheese

   Formula: Ancient (6 pieces)
   Description	Qty	Cost
   Magic Essence	3	Crafting
   Stale Cheese	3	Loot
   Ionized Salt	6	450
   Total		2,700

• Stale Cheese is the by-product of baited cheese going stale from a trap's cheese effect.
• Ionized Salt can be purchased in bazaar, 450 gold pp
• Magic Essence is obtained by smashing either SUPER|brie+ or Maki cheese.

As we know that to craft Ancient we must Provide a lot of Stale cheese, so before we arrive at Forbidden Grove, Catacombs and Acolyte Realm, we must collect enough Stale Cheese because this cheese can't be bought.

Stale cheese also needed to craft Runic, so the advice is you must have Stale Cheese Generator. That is by Purchase Trap or base with Chesse Effect Stale. Example Explosive Base.

Or you want to imbuing an Ancient Cheese Curd Potion with either Brie or SUPER|brie+ cheese into Ancient cheese.

Ancient Cheese Curd Potions are dropped by these mice:
– by Scavenger mice in the Catacombs and the Forbidden Grove.
– by Keeper mice in the Catacombs.
– by Keeper's Assistant mice in the Catacombs.

How to catch ASM faster

Abominable Snow Mouse (ASM)

These mice are far from bashful and love to play innocent pranks that seem to always involve pelting others with a barrage of snowballs. These mice are occasionally seen wandering down from the Mountains to give hunters a hard time.

Although this mouse are including rare mouse, In fact it is not too difficult to catch this mouse. At journeyman, i was successfully captured 2 ASM in a week.

The key is location.


This mice is only exist at Mountain, so if you doesn't at Mountain you will never catch this mice although you have the best Trap and bait.

Furthermore, as we know that this Mice is Physical so we must setup our trap with Physical Power Type, if your title still journeyman, i recomended at least you have to use Swiss Army Mouse Trap, and bait with brie. Not only this trap have more luck but also i think you have not enough gold to buy higher physical trap :p.
