How to Play Mousehunt

Starting the Hunt:

There are two ways to start a hunt. The first is by sounding (clicking) the Hunter's Horn. This can only be done once every 15 minutes. The Hunter's Horn will also sound if a friend in the same area sounds their own Hunter's Horn while you are ready to hunt. The second way to begin a hunt is called a "trap check." Trap checks occur every hour, on the hour, so long as the hunter has signed into MouseHunt in the last 24 hours.

Encountering a Mouse:

Next, it is determined which mouse you encounter during this hunt. You can only encounter a mouse that is known to inhabit the specific location that you are hunting in.

Attracting the Mouse:

After a mouse is encountered, it is next determined whether or not the mouse is attracted to the bait currently in your trap. This is the job of the cheese. Various cheeses have varying abilities to attract mice depending on several factors.  The trap/base combination can also help in attracting the mouse using their Attraction Rating characteristic. Failure to attract a mouse may lead to your cheese going stale. The likelihood of this happening is based on another trap characteristic: the Stale Effect. When a cheese goes stale, you will lose it. However, not all is lost! Once you have reached the rank of Apprentice, you will collect these stale cheeses for later use.

Catching the Mouse:

We're almost there! If you attract the mouse, it is then determined whether or not you catch the mouse in your trap. This is determined by a comparison of the mouse's power to your trap/base combination's power. Obviously, the more powerful the trap/base combo, the greater the likelihood you have of landing the mouse. It is believed, by comparison with HitGrab's other Facebook game Mythmonger, that the power of the mouse and power of the trap are compared in a ratio that corresponds with a percentage chance of catching the mouse.

The chances are enhanced if your trap's power type is especially effective against the mouse. For more information on this, see the page on Type Effectiveness

Your Hunter's Rank also plays a small part in your chances of catching a mouse. As you climb the ranks, a percentage point or two is added to your chances of landing a mouse.

Hunting Tips In Acolyte Realm

The Acolyte Realm is a location in the Bristle Woods region requiring a minimum rank of Legendary and the Keeper's Candle to enter.

Hunters cannot travel to the Acolyte Realm in the standard manner. The only way to enter the Realm is through the Forbidden Grove. Hunters trapped in the Forbidden Grove when its gates close will automatically be sent to the Acolyte Realm. They can then stay and hunt, or travel (using the map) to any other location in the Kingdom. However, if they choose to leave, they will not be able to return until the gate to the Forbidden Grove once again opens.

I have some Hunting tips for this location:

Acolyte Realm is different from any location. hunter cant travel anytime to this location, because the gates only open or close for 3 hours. So make sure if you arrive to this location your cheese stock is enough to hunt at least for 3 hour.

Cheese that have highly attract for mice in this location is Ancient cheese or Runic. So before entering this location better if you purchased some Ionized Salt from Bazzar to craft this cheese. so you will not out of ancient cheese.

But if your ancient cheese is empty, you can change the bait with cheddar cheese...????. Yes its not joke. If you can't bait your trap with ancient, its time to collect Stale cheese, because both of Ancient or Runic need Stale cheese to be Crafted. So hunters should bring plenty of Cheddar or White Cheddar

Smartest way to collect this stale cheese is using Cheddar or White Cheddar (cheapest Cheese and lowest attraction ) with Trap that have high stale cheese effect. example you can baited your cheddar with Obelisk of Incineration and the Explosive Base so they have a Stale Cheese generator.
Or you have another trap that provide more stale cheese effect.

But
you must remember with trap that have high attraction. These trap can attract more mice, therefore reducing the opportunities for stale cheese drops. In some areas, there is a reason to use these alternate bases because of the possibility of catching rare mice or collecting rare loot or potions.

Arcane Capturing Rod Of Never Yielding Mystery is recommended to catch most of the mice in the Acolyte Realm. If the hunter is trying to specifically catch the Acolyte mouse, the hunter should use the luckiest trap setup available, but must also be prepared for a lot of misses on the Forgotten mice.

Being Lucky is important to setup for trap. But, when Intelligent meet Luck thats Perfect Trap Setup.
